Project Description

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated PhD candidate to join our enthusiastic and young team. This is a method development study on the use of biosensor for isolation of chemical antibody or known as DNA aptamer by using SELEX (systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment) technology. We provide an open and stimulating multidisciplinary working environment such as genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics technique throughout this project.

1. You obtained Bachelor degree and Master of Science degree in Biology or Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Science or Biotechnology or Chemical engineering with CGPA of 3.0 and above.
2. You have good proficiency in both writing and oral communication in English
3. You have sufficiently acquainted with molecular biology and omics technologies.
4. You are accurate and have a strong feeling of responsibility.
5. You are perseverant and have a strong ambition to learn.
6. Candidate with electrochemical and optical sensor experienced are most welcome to apply.
7. Most importantly, you willing to apply and enrol PhD research program (full time) at the USM Health Campus, Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.

We offer a position for 1 year, which will normally be extended to 3 years in case of a positive evaluation.
