Whizz Kids Science Workshop

Penang – INFORMM was privileged to collaborate with Penang Science Cluster to organise a 2-day science workshop themed 'Cancer- what you need to know' which attracted at least 160 participants on 3 and 4 May 2019. The workshop aimed to educate the public as well as students from high-need schools and underprivileged children from care homes, on cancer and to encourage the students to choose a career in medical sciences. Many interactive exhibits and hands-on activities were available to engage the students including 'Extract your own DNA', ' How cancer is diagnosed?', 'Immune system and cancer' and 'Plants as complementary medicine'.
