Celebrating Excellence: AMDI-INFORMM Postgraduate Colloquium Award Winners Shine Bright
USM Penang, 27 September 2023 – The 7th AMDI-INFORMM Postgraduate International Research and Innovation Colloquium, held on September 26-27, 2023, at Dewan Budaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, showcased exceptional talent in postgraduate research. Three outstanding INFORMM students emerged as oral presentation award winners, demonstrating their dedication to academic excellence.
Oral Presentation Winner - Matthew Wong Tze Jian
Matthew secured the Winner's spot with his captivating presentation on "Development of a Candidate Vaccine Against Strongyloides stercoralis." Matthew's ability to convey complex ideas clearly left a lasting impression.
1st Runner-Up - Ahmad Najib Mohamad
Ahmad Najib earned the 1st Runner-Up position with his remarkable presentation on "Elucidating the Binding Interaction of DNA Aptamer Against HlyE of Salmonella Typhi” as a potential cheaper diagnostic application in typhoid surveillance.
3rd Runner-Up - Ahmad Fudail Eiyad Aziz
Ahmad Fudail Eiyad claimed the 3rd Runner-Up position with his presentation on "Comparison of Four Different Protein Extraction Methods of Giardia duodenalis for Downstream Applications" which is critical in successful diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
