Welcome MSc Molecular Medicine Students of 2020/21

INFORMM welcomed its fourth batch of MSc Mixed Mode in Molecular Medicine students on 6 October 2020 for the 2020/2021 academic year. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the orientation was conducted face-to-face at INFORMM with physical distancing, and via Webex to cater to the two international students. The session began with a warm welcome by the Director, Prof. Dr Rahmah Noordin, followed by an overview of USM and INFORMM by Assoc. Prof. S. Sasidharan, the Deputy Director. An ice-breaking session over tea allowed students and staff to introduce themselves. Then, Prof. Dr Gurjeet Kaur gave a briefing on the MSc programme. The postgraduate students had introductory back-to-basics teaching and laboratory safety sessions over 2 days before they began the formal curriculum.
