MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017: Surveillance 1 and transition to MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 audit

20th August 2019, TEST@INFORMM Laboratory at INFORMM, Penang successfully completed the Surveillance 1 and transition to MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 audit by Department of Standard Malaysia. This surveillance 1 and transition to MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 audit was conducted by Dr. Lim Chin Keong (lead auditor) and Mr. Yeoh Wee Theng (technical assessor) as a schedule audit for accredited testing laboratory under the “Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia” (SAMM) scheme. The accredited field of testing are mechanical test for the scope of nano size material (sample in water dispersion). The lead auditor assessed the management and SAMM requirements, while the technical assessor covered technical requirements. The scope of assessment covers the MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard, SAMM policies and SAMM requirements.The assessment team recorded a total of seven non-conformity and three observation findings. The laboratory was conferred with condition accreditation of MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
