Visit by Proffesor Dr. Atef Mohamed Shibl of Alfaisal University

Kelantan – INFORMM received a courtesy visit from Professor Dr. Atef Mohamed Shibl, Professor of Microbiology, Chairman of Microbiology and Immunology Department, College of Medicine, Alfaisal University, Riyadh, KSA on 1st July 2019. Professor Dr. Atef’s arrival was warmly welcomed by INFORMM’s Deputy Director, Associate Professor Dr. Aziah Ismail together with fellow lecturers and officers. The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible joint research collaborations and joint grant applications; activities that can propel INFORMM’s international visibility. An overview of INFORMM’s research clusters and research focus areas at INFORMM was delivered during the discussion by Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziah Ismail and all other lecturers. The visit continued with a tour of INFORMM, and Prof. Atef was fascinated by the research facilities at INFORMM, especially on the development of diagnostic kit facilities, antibody engineering facilities, cell culture facilities and biosensor technologies. The visit ended with a networking lunch at INFORMM by introducing the local Kelantanese dishes to Prof. Atef.
