In-House Training & Competency: DNA Sequencer System ABI PRISM 3130XL Genetic Analyzer

Kelantan – The in-house training and competency session  led by Dr Noor Fatmawati Mokhtar as the Laboratory Coordinator of INFORMM Kelantan was held on 14 – 16 January 2019. The training session was conducted by an expert trainer Dr Nur Haslindawaty Abdul Rashid (Senior Lecturer), School of Health Sciences (PPSK), USM Kelantan. The 3-days in-house training and competency course were designed to provide laboratory staffs with a combination of lectures and hands-on sessions on DNA Sequencer System (ABI PRISM 3130XL Genetic Analyser). The course covered the application, sample preparations, trouble-shooting and data analysis. Through this integrated course, the laboratory staffs were expected to able to perform sequencing using the stated system independently and facilitate any research, workshop and service related with the system at INFORMM, Kelantan but also others in need.
