Congratulations: Lew Min Han, 3rd at 3MT

Congratulations to Lew Mn Han for winning third place at the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition organised by the Institute of Postgraduate Studies, USM, with his presentation titled “Combating tuberculosis with novel peptide vaccines”. Min Han is a third year PhD student in INFORMM under the supervision of Dr. Tye Gee Jun. His study focuses on the development of a novel therapeutic vaccination strategy against Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. The designed vaccine has shown promising improvement in an experimental mouse model, generating stronger immune responses compared to conventional vaccines. He stands a chance to be selected to compete at the National Level Competition (The Malaysia 3MT competition).
