Visit by Prof. Dr. David Wilson, University of Southampton

Kubang Kerian – 10th April 2018. INFORMM received a courtesy visit from Professor Dr. David Wilson, Associate Dean for Internationalisation and Professor of Human Developmental Genetics, University of Southampton, United Kingdom. The visit to INFORMM was part of a programme conducted by Medical and Health Sciences Nexus office to seek opportunities for potential collaboration and partnership with USM Health Campus, including student research attachment and researcher exchange collaboration. Overview of the INFORMM’s research clusters and research focus areas at INFORMM were delivered during the discussion by Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziah Ismail and all other lecturers. The visit continued with a tour of INFORMM by introducing product development facility to Professor Dr. David. He was very much interested with the development of diagnostic kits particularly on the lateral flow assay. The potential collaboration that could be done is on research projects with the student attachment for the duration of less than 3 months.
