Vice-Chancellor's Visit

PENANG, 24 January 2018 - USM Vice-Chancellor and our Founding Director, Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail, FASc visited INFORMM Penang to meet all staff for a discussion. Our Director, Prof. Rahmah Noordin, presented the current achievements, research focus and strategic plans of the institute. The discussion revolved around the three rresearch clusters at INFORMM i.e. Diagnostics for Infectious Diseases (DID), Advanced Research Technologies (ART) and Cancer Research (CaRe). The challenges and issues pertaining to the postgraduate programs at INFORMM were also addressed.

This was followed by a Question-and-Answer session with the Honourable Vice-Chancellor and more discussions with the academic staff on tackling current challenges and strategies to streamline our current direction.
