DELEGATES FROM HADHRAMOUT ESTABLISHMENT FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT (HEHD) YEMEN

7^th November 2016 – INFORMM Penang proudly welcomed delegates from Hadhramout Establishment for Human Development (HEHD) Yemen. This visit was part of their official visit to USM following an MoU signing between the USM Vice-Chancellor, Professor Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail, representing USM and the Chairman, HEHD Board of Trustees, Eng. Sheikh Abdullah A. Bugshan.  This memorandum  was aimed to initiate and strengthen the collaborations between both parties on matters pertaining to academic, research and innovation.

During the short visit, the ten-member HEHD delegation accompanied by the Vice Chancellor , Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and other USM officers were brought to visit our laboratories and a brief presentation on INFORMM was given by Prof. Rahmah Noordin on behalf of the Director.  A demonstration of the rapid test developed at INFORMM was also given to the delegates who were very much impressed with our high-end facilities, capacities and capabilities in conducting basic and translational research. The visit has been an enriching experience which hopefully piles the foundation for future collaborations between HEHD and USM, as well as INFORMM. We would like to thank the lecturers and staff of INFORMM who gave their full commitment to make the visit a successful event.
