SCIENCE EXPLORATION PROGRAMME AT MRSM KUALA KRAI

9th March 2016- An educational programme themed ‘Science Exploration’ was jointly organized by INFORMM and MRSM Kuala Krai, Kelantan with the aim to expose  students to different branches of science. Involving 215 secondary schoolstudents  and 19 INFORMMERs, the event commenced with a welcome speech by the principal of MRSM Kuala Krai, Che Mohd Fauzi B. Che Omar, where he encouraged the students to participate actively in the programme. After a brief introduction on the Institute by INFORMM representative Encik Badrul Syam Bin Mat Zainuddin, the students were divided into smaller groups for hands-on activities. Ten stations were assembled by the facilitators, of which six stations accommodated science-related exhibitions and the other four stations specialized in simple experiments. All the students took active participation during the practical session.The programme went well without a hitch and received very good response from the participants. It is hoped that INFORMM and MRSM Kuala Krai could build on this ties to continuecollaborating and organizing more scientific programmes in the future in order  to promote science awareness among the students.
