Hitendra Joshi, D.J.N.

Mr. Hitendra Joshi has been with the Medical Devices industry for more than 30 years spending most of his career with B. Braun Medical Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, where he currently serves as the Head Government Affairs & Market Access for the Asia Pacific region. He joined B. Braun as a Regional Sales Manager in 1986 and was later posted to India as the Country Manager. He continued as the Head of Sales and Marketing for the Asia-Pacific region with the company's biggest Division.

In 1994, he was in the team that represented Malaysia at the IBM Asia Pacific Business Games Challenge in Sydney. Mr. Joshi was once again posted to New Delhi as the Director for the SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries. Mr. Joshi has travelled widely and enjoys working in the diverse business and cultural environment.

Mr. Joshi has been the Secretary of AMMI (Association of Malaysian Medical Industries) for a number of terms. He is currently the Chairman of the Association. Mr. Joshi is a strong advocate for the medical devices industry and has been a speaker at seminars and conferences on the industry both in Malaysia and abroad. Mr. Joshi was also a member of the Medical Devices Oversight Committee in PEMANDU in 2011-2012.

Mr. Joshi holds a Bachelor in Science (Zoology) and a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing). Additionally, he has a Cert. Dip. in Accounting and Finance from ACCA. As a student, Mr. Joshi attended St. Xavier's Institution in Penang.

In July 2011, Mr Joshi was conferred the Darjah Johan Negeri by His Excellency the Governor of Penang.
