HPV E7oncogne regulation in cell-cycle
The regulation of cell-cycle from G0 toG1 phase is control by CTCF/YB-1 complex which sits at c-myc promoter by regulating the gene transcription. The CTCF/YB-1 complex is disrupted by HPV E7 oncogene, thus allow the expression of c-myc to be exponential and the cell-cycle progression become uncontrollable, thus the cell enters tumor phase. The research is to further look into the cascading effects of c-myc gene exponential expression towards malignancy of cervical cancer.

Expression of Bst DNA polymerase
The Bst DNA polymerase is an enzyme used for isothermal amplification assays. We have manage to synthetically engineered Bst DNA polymerase and the enzyme is being used to develop isothermal amplification assay using Helicase Dependent Amplification platform.
