Development of Peptide Vaccination regimens for improve T-cell responses
Peptide vaccines are key immunotherapeutic that could lead to safer and more targeted stimulation of the immune system. However, due to its size, immunogenecity is likely to be poorer compared to subunit vaccine or full protein vaccine. A key area that is required to enable efficient stimulation of the immune system when peptides are use as targets is adjuvants. Adjuvant is derived from the Latin word adiuvare, that means to help. Here, adjuvant is defined as an addition that would accelerate, prolong, or enhance antigen-specific immune responses when used in combination with specific antigens.
