Dr Daruliza Kernain Mohd Azman
Dr. Daruliza Kernain Mohd Azman is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and an MSc in Molecular Medicine from USM, following a BSc in Biotechnology from AIMST University. Her research specializes in Molecular Oncology and Cancer Biology, with a particular interest in the regulation of transcription and tumorigenesis. She has conducted extensive work on the CTCF and BORIS proteins, investigating their roles in DNA architecture and cancer development. Her studies also explore the therapeutic potential of natural products, such as Andrographis paniculata and Piper sarmentosum, in treating various cancers and microbial infections.
