Dr Khairul Mohd Fadzli Mustaffa
Dr. Khairul Mohd Fadzli Mustaffa is a Senior Lecturer at the Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), based at the Health Campus in Kelantan. He holds a PhD in Tropical Medicine from the University of Liverpool (2012), an MSc in Pharmacology from USM, and a BSc in Biotechnology from UPM. His research expertise lies in molecular therapeutics and theranostics, with a specialized focus on malaria. Dr. Khairul's work investigates the molecular mechanisms of severe malaria, particularly cytoadherence, and the development of aptamer-based technologies for point-of-care diagnostics and targeted therapy. He is a member of the International Society on Aptamers and the Malaysian Malaria Network.
