INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH IN MOLECULAR MEDICINE

15 October 2025, Hsinchu, Taiwan - The Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia, strengthened international collaboration this week by participating in the 2025 Joint Symposium on Molecular Diagnostics and Biomedical Innovation hosted at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Bo-Ai Campus.

The symposium brought together leading scientists, clinicians, and innovators from NYCU and Malaysia (USM/INFORMM, UKM and UM) to share breakthroughs in biomedical innovation. INFORMM delegates presented their latest research on aptamer-biosensor point of care diagnostics for low-resource settings, underscoring the institute’s commitment to advancing equitable healthcare solutions.

NYCU faculty highlighted the importance of cross-border partnerships in accelerating discovery and implementation. The joint event featured lectures, discussions, and lab-tour, fostering dialogue on emerging technologies and regulatory pathways.

The collaboration between INFORMM and NYCU reflects a shared vision: harnessing molecular medicine to improve patient outcomes and drive innovation across the region. The symposium concluded with plans for future joint projects, exchange programs, and expanded research networks.
